Brockhole on Windermere, located between Windermere and Ambleside, is a historic house dating back to 1896. Set within 30 acres of rambling gardens along the shores of Lake Windermere, it was famously owned by silk merchant William Gaddum and his wife, Edith, who happened to be a relative of Beatrix Potter, who famously made the Lakes her home.
